For any weight loss plan to work the first step is to prepare your mind.  There is no big secret to weight loss, but there is a secret to its success.

You need to burn off more calories than you consume!

Sounds simple doesn’t it? So why do you find it impossible to resist the unhealthy snack or skip the gym?  How many times do you say to yourself “Christmas is coming up so I will wait until afterwards”, the similar is said of holidays, or occasions, be it someone’s birthday, or you have had a bad day so you justify yourself or you reward yourself with treats.

To get the success you want you need to have the right motivation.  Telling yourself that you can’t have that nice dessert or that nice piece of cake is negative so it is impossible to maintain the motivation and to stick to a plan where it all feels so negative and restrictive.

Our minds will automatically resist negative words and if you make your weight loss sound like a chore you will never do it.  Another thing to consider is to avoid saying you have “cheat days” or “days off your plan”.  Why do you need to wait for your treat day? Surely a healthy balanced diet is such a positive thing for your body, health and wellness you may not even feel the need for the treat anyway!

Give yourself praise and visualise yourself in your end goal.  This will help to motivate and help you to keep going.

The reality is you need to ditch the diet.  If you are one of the many people who continuously find yourself in January back at fat club then there is more to losing weight that you are currently aware of.  How much money have you spent over the years getting weighed every week?  Do a rough costing now in your head.  Weigh that against investing in a plan that will work for you for the rest of your life.

The sad fact is 95% of people will regain weight 1-5 years after the diet so they simply do not work in the long term.  Rather than just reducing calories hypnotherapy can help you learn about how your body works.  When we are stressed our bodies produce higher levels of cortisol and adrenaline which puts our bodies into fight or flight mode.  This hike means we crave sugary food as the body needs a quick fix of glucose.  When this cycle is interrupted by stress management you are much less likely to reach for the sweets.

Hypnotherapy can also help you get in touch with the reasons why you unconsciously eat.  Do you have to eat the whole pizza, even when you are full? I will help you understand yourself and help you to change negative food habits and body images so you can have the body and wardrobe you desire.

Because the reason why you overeat is so individual to you there is no one treatment plan that fits everyone.  This is why contacting me for your free initial consultation so I can develop a treatment plan that is tailor made for you is paramount in the success of your therapy.
