Over the last few years working as a hypnotherapist with clients through past life regression has really intrigued me. Contrary to popular belief I would say 90% of the past life regression that I have done have been clients going to lifetimes where they were poor, living pretty much mundane lives rather than rich, famous, powerful figures from our past. The majority of past lives have a direct resonance with a client’s present life and more often than not clients report being equally male and female and often from other cultures and religious backgrounds. They often see people who may have been their parent in a past life, but are now currently their son or daughter. This is particularly fascinating as it can bring answers forward to the conscious mind that will help them with their relationships in the present and help them to better understand what is going on in the here and now.
It can be so insightful to our relationships, almost like a karma playing out from a previous lifetime.

Have you ever experienced meeting someone and thinking that you know that person even though you couldn’t have done? I have experienced this a handful of times during my lifetime and each time I have had that, the person has ended up being in my life in some capacity for an extremely long time. It can be a powerful experience with an inner knowing that this relationship was meant to be. This has funnily enough not ever been in a romantic sense for me but rather a friend or someone that I know I am going to learn a lot from. Sometimes the connection can be so strong you almost feel a soul connection to them and sometimes those feelings can get confused with romantic love, when in actual fact, they are there to teach us something or there to guide us through life in some way or another. Another fascinating thing is that each time that new person has entered my life, it has been through a particularly stressful and anxious time. A bit like a guardian angel turning up at just the right time when you need them the most.

Equally have you ever gone somewhere you have never visited before and got that feeling of déjà vu, you know exactly what is going to happen next, you know what you will see when you go around the corner and you just know you have been there before when you could not have done?

Any recurring game you played between the age of 2 and 5 can also give a clue to a past life as we hold onto those memories for the first few years of our lives. Quite often the child will have a skill that has never been taught or learned.

So, you see, past life regression can help us on many levels. It can help us to understand our relationships better, to understand where we need to be going in our lives, what that connection was with that person so we can understand what it is we need to be learning at this point in time, or sometimes it can just be curiosity and that is fine too.

I always warn clients that past life regression may open something up which will then lead to a need for some counselling sessions. I always spend time after the regression going through the past life regression with the client to see what it all meant and how it relates to them in the here and now. However, some issues are more complex and the need for extra support may be needed. Take this into account before booking in for a session so you can be aware that extra therapy may be needed.

Past life regression will not be suitable for those who suffer with epilepsy or psychosis. I will not do a past life regression on anyone under the age of 18 years old. All sessions are recorded which will then be emailed to the client.
